Beginnings take many different shapes and forms through our lifetime. The beginning of this blog for me actually stretches back to my first introduction to Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) in the late 1990s. A rich diversity of experiences with teaching and learning coupled with an array of chaotic and serendipitous circumstances landed me teaching an alternate delivery (aka online) course for NSCC. To make a long story short - unusual for me - I have been with the College ever since.
This blog is an effort to collaboratively document and share the stories of NSCC Online Learning - the little engine that could, does and continues to do at Canada's FIRST portfolio college. This is but one set of stories from one small team of people at NSCC. There are so many amazing people, teams and stories at the College - I hope that those other portfolio learning stories will also continue to be documented and shared. This is an important part of honouring, informing, influencing and inspiring our past, present and future learners and learning communities at NSCC.
